Tile and Natural Stone

Our collection covers porcelain tile, ceramic tile, glass tile, natural stone (marble, travertine, and slate), and mosaic tile in a wide range of sizes, finishes, and styles. Products are sourced from European manufacturers in Spain, Italy, and Portugal alongside Dune Ceramics USA. Available formats include small format wall tile, large format floor tile up to 24×48 and beyond, mesh-mounted mosaic sheets, and decorative accent tiles.

Porcelain is fired at higher temperatures from a denser clay mixture, resulting in a water absorption rate of 0.5% or less — making it harder, less porous, and suitable for floors, wet areas, and outdoor use. Ceramic has a slightly higher absorption rate and softer composition, making it easier to cut and more cost-effective for wall applications and dry areas. Both are excellent materials — the right choice depends on your specific application and the conditions the tile will face.

Start with the application. Floor tiles need a PEI hardness rating of 3 or above and a slip resistance rating appropriate for the environment (R9 for dry residential, R10 for wet bathrooms and kitchens). Wall tiles don't carry structural loads so they can be thinner and lighter. Wet areas like showers need fully vitrified tile with water absorption below 0.5%. Once you've confirmed the technical requirements for your space, narrow your choice by size, finish, and style. Ordering samples before committing to a full quantity is always recommended.

Yes — our natural stone collection includes marble, travertine, and slate in a range of sizes and finishes. Natural stone is quarried and cut rather than manufactured, giving each tile a unique pattern and depth that no printed porcelain can fully replicate. All natural stone tile must be sealed before grouting and maintained with a penetrating stone sealer. Use pH-neutral cleaners only — acidic cleaners including vinegar will permanently etch marble and limestone surfaces.

Our collection spans from small format mosaic (1×1 and penny round) through standard sizes (3×6, 3×12, 12×24, 24×24) to large format (24×48, 36×36) and oversized panels (48×103). Filter by size using the collection filters to find tiles that suit your project. As a general guideline, larger tiles reduce grout lines and make spaces feel more expansive; smaller mosaic formats provide better slip resistance on shower floors and more flexibility on curved or sloped surfaces.

Measure the total square footage of each surface to be tiled (length × width), then add a 10% overage for standard rectangular installations. For diagonal layouts, herringbone, or chevron patterns, add 15%. Always order your full quantity from the same dye lot — tile color can vary between production batches, and reordering to match later may not be possible. Keep a few spare tiles after installation for future repairs.
