With simple installation options like click-lock floating systems or glue-down applications, luxury vinyl plank provides a versatile flooring solution for both new construction and renovation projects.

Why Choose European Luxury Vinyl Plank?

Not all LVP is manufactured to the same standard. Our luxury vinyl plank collection is sourced from European manufacturers held to strict quality and environmental standards — giving you superior dimensional stability, more realistic wood visuals, and consistent wear layer performance across every plank in the box.

What to look for when choosing LVP:

  • Wear layer thickness — 12 mil for light residential use, 20 mil for main living areas and pet households, 28 mil and above for commercial applications
  • Core type — SPC (stone polymer composite) cores are denser and more rigid, ideal for high-traffic areas and temperature fluctuations; WPC (wood polymer composite) cores are slightly softer and warmer underfoot, popular for bedrooms and living areas
  • Plank size — wider and longer planks (9"×60" and above) create the most convincing hardwood look; narrower planks suit smaller rooms and more traditional aesthetics
  • Attached underlayment — most of our LVP includes pre-attached underlayment for added comfort, sound reduction, and easier installation
  • Installation methodclick lock for floating DIY-friendly installs, glue down for maximum stability in commercial and large open spaces, and loose lay for flexible, tool-free installation

FAQ

What is luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring?

Luxury vinyl plank is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product designed to replicate the look of hardwood. A typical LVP plank consists of a backing layer, a rigid or flexible core, a photographic design layer printed with a realistic wood image, and a clear protective wear layer on top. Modern LVP is virtually indistinguishable from real wood in appearance, while being waterproof, scratch-resistant, and significantly easier to maintain.

What is the difference between SPC and WPC luxury vinyl plank?

SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) cores are denser and harder - extremely dimensionally stable and ideal for commercial spaces or high-traffic areas. WPC (Wood Polymer Composite) cores incorporate a foamed wood composite that makes them slightly softer and warmer underfoot, which many homeowners prefer for bedrooms and living areas. Both are 100% waterproof.

What wear layer thickness do I need?

For light residential use such as bedrooms, 12 mil is sufficient. For main living areas, kitchens, and households with pets or children, 20 mil is recommended. For commercial or high-traffic residential applications, look for 28 mil and above. Thicker wear layers hold up better against furniture, high heels, and pet claws.

Can luxury vinyl plank be installed over existing flooring?

Yes - click lock LVP can be installed over most existing hard flooring including tile and hardwood, as long as the surface is flat, clean, and structurally sound. The existing floor must be within 3/16" of levelness per 10 feet. Avoid installing over carpet or any flooring with significant height variations.

Is luxury vinyl plank suitable for bathrooms and wet areas?

Absolutely. 100% waterproof LVP is one of the best flooring options for bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens. Unlike hardwood - which warps when exposed to moisture - LVP is completely unaffected by water. Seal plank edges at the perimeter with waterproof silicone caulk where they meet walls or cabinetry in high-splash areas.

How do I clean luxury vinyl plank flooring?

Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove grit that can cause surface micro-scratches. Damp mop with a pH-neutral floor cleaner as needed - avoid excessive water, steam mops, wax, or abrasive cleaners. Use felt pads under furniture legs to prevent pressure marks, and area rugs in high-traffic zones to extend the wear layer's lifespan.
