12x24 Blue Marble Tile
Blue Valley 12x24 is the largest size in the Blue Valley polished marble line: natural stone quarried in Italy, with blue and white colors and elegant veining. A larger tile means fewer grout lines across a floor or wall.
Use it on floors, countertops, backsplashes and fireplace surrounds. It comes unsealed, so we recommend sealing it with FILA MP90 Eco Plus, a water-based penetrating sealer for natural stone. Test the sealer on a small area first. To clean, use a non-abrasive cloth and a neutral cleaner, and avoid acidic cleaners, chemicals and solvents.
Before installing, inspect all the tiles in daylight. Marble can have minor defects and variations in color, tone and brightness, its color varies from one production run to the next, and it can scratch during handling, installation and use. Use a cement-based adhesive that is recommended for stone and has high adhesion and elasticity, and get full coverage. The substrate must be reinforced so there is no movement, and a mortar bed must be cured (under 2% humidity) and properly reinforced. Any cement-based grout is suitable. For more on installing stone tile, see the TCNA Handbook. Marble tile is recommended for interior walls, light-duty floors, showers and areas submerged in water.
Pair it with the Blue Valley penny round or hexagon mosaic, or the smaller 3x12, 6x12 and 6x24 sizes.
